GENTRY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL CELEBRATES TEACHERS’ DAY WITH FUN AND GRATITUDE

On October 3, students and teachers at Gentry International School came together to celebrate Teachers’ Day and show appreciation for their teachers’ dedication and hard work. The event was organized by the members of the Student Council and was filled with learning, laughter, and gratitude.
The celebration began in the morning with the Student Teacher Program, where senior high school students took the role of teachers and taught classes from Nursery to Grade 10. This experience allowed students to understand the challenges and joys of teaching while giving younger students a fun and refreshing change from their usual lessons

In the afternoon, students and teachers were grouped into four color teams, which were Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow, to participate in friendly competitions. The first game, “Guess the Teacher,” challenged students to identify teachers from cropped photos of their faces and voice recordings, creating laughter and excitement all around.

Next came the lively “Guess the Song” challenge, where participants had to name songs after hearing only a few seconds. Cheering filled the AVR as students recognized familiar songs and sang together.
One of the most entertaining parts of the event was the “Musical Chairs” game, which featured teachers as the participants. The teachers danced joyfully around the chairs, and the entire hall burst into laughter when the music stopped and everyone rushed to sit. The cheerful energy made the game one of the most memorable moments of the day.

Between the games, students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 performed songs, dances, and band pieces that they had been preparing for weeks. Their performances added color and excitement to the celebration.
The event concluded with an awarding ceremony recognizing outstanding student teachers and the winning team of the day. Finally, students handed letters to their teachers, expressing gratitude for their guidance and support.

The entire event was a wonderful reminder of the strong bond between teachers and students, highlighting the school’s values of respect, appreciation, and unity. It was a day filled with smiles, learning, and love for the teachers who continue to inspire every student.
